In the summer if 2017,

I packed my bags for to work an internship with Avatarlabs in Encino, California. Little did I know, this internship would set the tone for the rest of my career in Los Angeles. One of the first real campaigns I worked on was Season 4 of FX's The Strain with an Art Director and soon to be mentor. At this point in my career, I had much to learn and Avatarlabs gave me the opportunity to do just that when they told me to give photo compositing a try! For the new season, we were setting the scene for a post apocalyptic environment due to catastrophic events in the previous season finale. The concept was to create postcards for various US cities but with a little added doom and gloom, taking regular city skyline photos and compositing them to reflect the atomic aftermath of the Strigoi vampire takeover. For this campaign, I also composited digital quote cards for social throughout the season. This project solidified my passion for compositing and I am so grateful to have been a part of such a nurturing creative environment that set the stage for how much further I would grow in my career.
